The application of growth factors in the field of skin care

What are growth factors?

EGF- epidermal growth factor

Growth factors are polypeptides that regulate cell growth and function by binding to specific cell membrane receptors. Since growth factors are secreted by normal cells, there is neither drug toxicity nor immune response. In 1986, American scientists Stanley Cohen and Rita Levi-Montalcini were "credited factors (for their discoveries of growth factors) and won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

EGF- epidermal growth factor: a powerful cell division factor, with a variety of biological activities, EGF has the effect of repairing the epidermis, anti-aging, fading spots, smoothing wrinkles, moisturizing, the content of EGF in the human body directly determines the youth of the skin, EGF is therefore known as the "beauty factor", mainly manifested as:

1. Skin rejuvenation function: EGF can promote the absorption of nutrients by skin cells, accelerate cell metabolism, promote the division and growth of skin cells, and promote the synthesis of hyaluronic acid and glycoprotein;

2. Moisturizing skin: EGF can promote the biosynthesis of DNA, RNA and functional

proteins, promote the synthesis of extracellular macromolecules (such as hyaluronic acid, elastin, etc.), increase skin water content, thereby increasing skin elasticity and moisturizing skin.

3. Repair damaged skin barriers (such as redness, dullness and sensitivity after sunburn; Hormone dependent dermatitis, skin sensitivity due to cosmetics, etc.).

4. Eliminate wrinkles: EGF promotes the active transport of cellular nutrients from outside the cell to the cell, increasing the nutrition in the cell. Promote dermal cells to secrete synthetic collagen fibers, polysaccharides, glycoproteins and other functional molecules, so that the subcutaneous dermal tissue is full, muscle fibers are arranged neatly and tightly, thus reducing and eliminating wrinkles.

5. Wound repair: EGF can promote the healing of skin and mucosal wound surface, reduce scar contracture and skin malformation hyperplasia, and accelerate the repair of cornea, skin and other epidermal wounds. Widely used in the treatment of burns, scalds, surgical injuries, mechanical injuries, skin ulcers, laser beauty and so on. It is used to treat scars, especially scars and bumps left after acne.

6. Whitening sunscreen: EGF quickly eliminates inflammation, promotes the growth of new cells, and replaces cells damaged by ultraviolet radiation to reduce the number of melanocytes in the skin. The use of EGF in the treatment period and recovery period can effectively prevent the recurrence of dark spots.

AFGF-acid fibroblasts: can stimulate blood vessel growth, accelerate wound healing and promote nerve injury repair and other functions. It binds to all FGF receptors and is acidic in itself and stable in acidic traumatic environments. AFGF is negatively charged in acidic environments and easily binds to receptors on positively charged cell membranes. Mild nature, small irritation, lasting effect.

EGF- epidermal growth factor

1. Thickens the stratum corneum, repairs the skin barrier, improves the dermatitis caused by sensitive skin and cosmetics (thin skin, fragile skin, red blood, intolerance to any stimulation);

2. Reduce redness, suitable for hormone dependent dermatitis and seborrheic dermatitis repair;

3. Restore the skin's "water-locking" ability and make the skin hydrated and moisturized;

4. Improve wrinkles, repair scars, make the skin fine and full, elastic;

5. Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, suitable for acne skin, help to reduce inflammation and repair erythema;

6. Promote wound healing, inhibit the formation of keloid, suitable for skin care after laser, tattoo, grinding.

BFGF Basic fibroblast: It plays a very important role in the process of blood vessel formation, promoting wound healing and tissue repair, promoting tissue regeneration and nerve tissue growth and development.

1. Promote the healing of the epidermis and accelerate the epithelial coverage of the wound;

2. Accelerate the formation of capillaries, improve tissue ischemia, and promote the reconstruction of microcirculation;

3. Skin care and repair: BFGF can improve the microenvironment for cell growth, promote the synthesis of elastic fibers and collagen, make the skin elastic and keep the skin in a smooth and tender state.

4. Anti-wrinkle and anti-aging effect: It can promote the growth and development of fibroblasts, and constantly replace aging cells with new cells, so it has anti-wrinkle and anti-wrinkle effect.

5. Whitening and freckle removal: update senescent cells, thereby reducing the content of melanin and colored cells in skin cells and reducing skin pigmentation.

6. Sunscreen and post-sun repair: It can quickly repair damaged cells and reduce the damage caused by ultraviolet radiation to the skin.

7. Anti-acne and scarring effect: stimulate the formation of skin granulation tissue and promote the epithelialization of granulation tissue, and also regulate collagen degradation and renewal, thereby shortening the wound healing time and reducing the role of scar formation.

TGF - beta.

1. Bidirectional mediating cell growth, low concentration to promote growth, high concentration to inhibit growth;

2. Promote the synthesis of extracellular matrix, such as hyaluronic acid (hyaluronic acid), mucopolysaccharide;

3. Promote the repair of soft tissue injuries, such as penetration injuries, ulcers;

4. Anti-inflammatory;

5. Inhibit scar hyperplasia.

PDGF: platelet-derived growth factor. During wound healing, PDGF can be released by a variety of cells. As one of the growth factors that appear earlier in wound healing, PDGF plays an important role in the whole process of wound healing, strengthening the formation of granulation tissue, promoting wound healing and shortening the healing time.

1. Repair the skin's microvascular system and provide adequate nutrition for the skin. An important reason for skin aging is the atrophy of blood vessels under the skin, which leads to insufficient blood supply to the skin, so the cells lack nutrients, resulting in wrinkles. Many growth factors are involved in the physiological regulation of angiogenesis. They each play a crucial role in this. Among them, the vascular regeneration function of PDGF has obvious effect on delaying aging.

2. Promote collagen synthesis and effectively delay aging. PDGF can successfully promote collagen production. Collagen produced by PDGF is more effective in delaying skin aging than directly applying or consuming collagen.

3. PDGF is an important mitotic factor, which has the ability to stimulate the division and proliferation of specific cell populations and promote the generation of fibroblasts, thus making wrinkles naturally flat.

A single growth factor is difficult to exert the maximum biological effect, therefore, multiple growth factors are generally used clinically as medical skin care products to assist laser and other surgical treatment, whitening, wrinkle removal, light spot removal, scar removal, and promote wound healing.
